MOVE YOUR SOUL!

What if your body felt…strong, free, beautiful, worthy, playful and alive? How might your life be if you understood and had choice points around how and when to access different parts of your nervous system? What would happen if you were able to feel the connection between thoughts and the body’s reaction? How might it be to feel safe in your anger, joy, silliness, sadness, anxiety and play? How might it feel to be with others in our shared humanity?

In Somatic Movement we explore the experience of being human and living in a body, mind and soul through a variety of movement practices, nervous system science, intention, music, mindfulness exercises, imagination, metaphor, yoga, play, dance, breath, earth wisdom and intuition. Each class will have a specific theme/focus and variety of evocative music, from instrumental to vocal, spanning many genres (world music, indie, classical, experimental and popular music.)

This is a practice that focuses on learning the authentic wisdom of the body to assist with holistic healing and making room for the nervous system to settle. Honoring the body as a tool to higher awareness can allow emotions, sensations and imagery to surface in a safe, holistic way and old patterns and energy blocks may find a place to shift. This is a chance to have a more conscious and embodied relationship with yourself.
